Course overview

RoboMaster is an up-rising education brand of DJI, a world-leading company in the commercial drone industry. RoboMaster focuses on providing the early-stage robotics learning experience to students throughout the K-12 education. In this particular Youth Fundamental of Robotics course, students will learn the basic knowledge of robotics, take real practice on programming and integrate several common sensors to solve the ultimate challenge: escape from a random generated maze.

Learning Outcomes

  • Basic understanding of robotics
  • Be familiar with the programming platform with “Scratch”, be able to code DIY programs
  • Be familiar with the functionalities of different types of sensors and their work mechanism
  • Basic understanding of decision-making logic in programming
  • Be able to apply codes on the robot and achieve a certain degree of autonomy
  • Enhanced critical thinking and be able to solve technical challenges in reality by controlling/programming a robot
